You can rent a scooter in Seminyak from Oka’s Motorbike Rental. We are based near Ubud and deliver to your hotel or villa in Seminyak, Petitenget or Legian. There is no deposit, and monthly rentals get free delivery.

Do you deliver scooters to Seminyak?

Yes, we deliver to Seminyak every day between 08:00 and 22:00. Delivery is free for monthly rentals, which also include free airport pickup. For shorter rentals, we quote the delivery fee on WhatsApp before you book.

What do I need to rent?

Your passport is all we need. We photograph it and give it straight back. There is no deposit and nothing to pay to book. At handover we film the bike’s condition with you. We recommend carrying an International Driving Permit with the motorcycle category, because Indonesian law requires a valid licence and police do run checks in the busy tourist areas.

What is riding in Seminyak like?

Seminyak is one of the most congested parts of Bali. Distances are short, but traffic is heavy for much of the day and the main streets are narrow. A scooter is still the easiest way to get around, because it moves through traffic that cars can’t.

  • Jalan Kayu Aya and the streets around Petitenget are slow at peak times and in the evening.
  • Some streets are one way, and the layout changes from time to time. Follow the signs and the flow of traffic.
  • Sunset Road is wide and fast. Keep left, signal early and watch your mirrors.
  • Expect taxis and cars stopping without warning to drop people off.

Which scooter suits Seminyak?

A light automatic scooter suits Seminyak best. It is easy to park, light in stop-and-go traffic and fine for short trips to the beach, restaurants and shops. If you plan day trips to Ubud or Uluwatu, a bigger automatic scooter is more comfortable. See what is available on our bikes page.

Where do I park in Seminyak?

Most restaurants, beach clubs and shops have a scooter parking area with an attendant, who asks for a small fee. Lock the steering and keep your helmet with you or locked to the bike. Avoid leaving bags or phones in the seat storage.

Where can I ride from Seminyak?

Seminyak is well placed for the beaches of the southwest. Canggu is to the north along the coast, Kuta and the airport are to the south, and Uluwatu is further south on the Bukit peninsula. Tanah Lot temple is a popular sunset ride. Leave extra time: traffic, not distance, decides how long rides take here.

What is included?

Every rental includes a helmet and a phone holder. Rain ponchos are not included. A top box or surf rack is available on request at extra cost. Message us on WhatsApp with your location if anything goes wrong. Help is available 24 hours.

Can I rent a car in Seminyak?

Yes. We rent automatic cars from IDR 350,000 a day, including 7-seaters for groups. In Seminyak a car is slower than a scooter in traffic, but it is handy for airport runs, rainy days and trips with luggage. See the cars page.

How do I book?

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and your hotel in Seminyak. We confirm the bike and any delivery fee, and you pay when you receive it. Browse the bikes or read the FAQ.
