Do you deliver scooters to Uluwatu?
Yes, we deliver to Uluwatu, Bingin, Padang Padang, Pecatu and nearby areas. Monthly rentals get free delivery anywhere in Bali, plus free airport pickup. Uluwatu is a long way from our shop, so for shorter rentals we quote the delivery fee on WhatsApp before you book. For a stay on the Bukit, renting by the month is usually the best value.
What do I need to rent?
Only your passport. We take a photo and hand it straight back. There is no deposit and no down payment. We film the bike’s condition with you at handover, so the record is clear for both of us. We recommend carrying an International Driving Permit with the motorcycle category, since Indonesian law requires a valid licence and police do check.
What is riding in Uluwatu like?
Uluwatu is hilly and spread out. The beaches, villas and cafes are scattered along the cliffs, so you ride further than in Canggu or Sanur, often up and down steep roads. Traffic is lighter away from the main roads, but the main road through the peninsula can be busy.
- Many beaches sit at the bottom of the cliffs, with steep access roads and parking at the top. Take the descents slowly.
- Some side roads are rough, sandy or unlit. Avoid riding them at night if you can.
- Wind can be strong on the exposed parts of the peninsula. Hold the bars firmly, especially with a surfboard on the rack.
- Bali drives on the left. Expect trucks on the main road and sudden U-turns.
Which scooter suits Uluwatu?
A bigger automatic scooter is the better choice for Uluwatu. The extra power helps on the climbs, it is steadier with a passenger or a board, and it is more comfortable on the longer distances. A light scooter works too if you mostly ride short hops alone. See what we have on the bikes page.
Can I get a surf rack?
Yes. A surf rack is available on request at extra cost, and so is a top box. Ask for it when you book on WhatsApp, so it is fitted before delivery. Strap the board well and ride a little slower with it, especially in crosswinds.
Where can I ride from Uluwatu?
Uluwatu is known for its surf breaks and cliff-top views. Uluwatu Temple sits at the southwest tip of the peninsula, and the beaches along the west coast are a short ride apart. Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and the airport are to the north and east. Day trips further north are possible but long, so a car can be easier for those.
What is included?
A helmet and a phone holder come with every rental. Rain ponchos are not included. If the bike breaks down, message us on WhatsApp with your location, day or night. Help is available 24 hours.
Can I rent a car in Uluwatu?
Yes. Our automatic cars start at IDR 350,000 a day, and the 7-seaters fit a group with boards and luggage more easily than scooters. See the cars page.
